About Christopher
As a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges currently completing my student teaching placement, I have a strong interest in pursuing a career in education. With experience ranging from the middle school level to the high school level, I believe I have a great deal to offer as an educator. My past teaching experience has entailed working with advanced students who are highly intrinsically motivated, as well as students who struggle with reading comprehension, focus, and other necessary skills in the content area. I am passionate about the content of my subject area, but capable of adjusting complexity to meet the needs of various kinds of students. I would jump at the opportunity to teach IB or AP programs, but I have knowledge of how to adapt lessons to different skill levels, as well as an understanding of the importance of relationship-building with students.

My aim is to help students achieve academic and personal success by building a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. My teaching philosophy is heavily indebted to concepts of dialogic education and feedback. I have helped students improve their skills in writing, verbal communication, and organization.
