About Lachlan
I am an experienced and enthusiastic Guitar tutor with 6 years of teaching practice, guiding students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. My teaching philosophy is built on patience, consistency, and building strong fundamentals.
I ensure that every student masters chords, rhythm patterns, finger exercises, scales, and basic music theory before moving to advanced playing techniques. I also help students develop performance confidence and stage presence, preparing them for competitions, cultural events, and live programmes.
Many of my students have successfully performed on stage and received recognition for their talent. I maintain a supportive and motivating learning environment, adapting lessons according to each student’s pace and goals. My mission is to help learners develop technical skill, creativity, and a lifelong passion for guitar.

My teaching methodology for Guitar combines structured learning with flexibility to match each student’s needs. I create a positive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their musical interests. Since learners have different strengths, I adapt my teaching style to suit visual, auditory, or hands-on learners.
Along with Guitar techniques, I teach Music Theory fundamentals, Harmony understanding, Rhythm Studies, Scale Application, Ear Training, Songwriting basics, and Performance Skills. I believe students should understand the logic behind music rather than just memorise songs.
Therefore, I use real-world examples such as analysing popular songs and studying live performance techniques to connect theory with practice. Students begin by mastering basic chords, rhythm accuracy, and smooth transitions.
As they improve, they explore advanced strumming patterns, fingerstyle methods, improvisation skills, and lead guitar techniques. Through regular evaluations and guided practice routines, I help students grow consistently and confidently.
