About Ritu

“Happiness is highest form of health”. But 5 years back I was doing sitting job where I valued work & money more than health. Also, I faced thyroid with no strength. That condition challenged me & Since then I never looked back. Fitness has always been my 1st love which helped me mentally & physically. Now I don’t see myself without workout. A very important thing to note here is that when we talk of Health, we not only talk about the physical appearance of someone but rather the cohesive betterment of an individual.

I work with clients to set realistic & achievable fitness goals. I prioritize teaching correct form & technique for each exercise to prevent injury & maximize results. I believe in educating clients about the “why” behind their workouts & nutrition choices.

  • 1. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    My interest in fitness developed through a combination of personal experience and curiosity. I've always been fascinated by the impact of exercise on overall. Through trial and error, I found activities that resonated with me, such as strength training and Mobility.
    Over time, my passion for fitness evolved into a desire to share my knowledge with others. I started helping friends and family members with their fitness goals, which eventually led me to explore opportunities in the fitness industry. Today, I'm excited to continue growing in the field, and I'm grateful for the journey.
  • 2. What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    The motivation behind my choice to teach fitness comes from several individuals and experiences:
    ✨My one & only personal trainer: To be honest he helped me develop a passion for fitness and showed me the impact it can have on my life.

    Personal Experiences

    Through fitness, I've overcome personal struggles which motivates me to help others do the same.
    The fitness community has provided me with a sense of belonging and support, which I want to pass on to others.
    ✨The personal reasons why I love teaching Fitness are :

    1. I want to empower people to take control of their health and well-being, and help them achieve their fitness goals.

    2. I'm genuinely passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, and helping them develop a lifelong love for fitness.

    3. I believe that teaching fitness allows me to make a positive impact on people's lives, which is a rewarding and fulfilling experience for me.
  • 3. How does your work help society?

    According to me it's helping in different manners with my clients, I would like to share few examples:
    1. Reducing healthcare costs: Regular exercise is helping to prevent chronic diseases, such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity, which can reduce healthcare costs.

    2. Improving mental health : Exercise has been shown to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improving overall mental well-being with gaining lots of confidence in them.

    3. Social : Fitness programs specially at gym with my clients promote social interaction and a sense of belonging among people from diverse backgrounds.

    4. My Fitness program helped to educate people about healthy habits, nutrition, and wellness, empowering them to make informed choices. And they are following with quite good dedication.
  • 4. If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    My Very first fitness Role Model is my Grandpa who is known for his discipline towards fitness & diet on time. His Army background has always been inspiration to me.

    - Then I have inspired a lot from Serena Williams: A tennis superstar who has inspired many with her fitness journey and advocacy for women's health.

    ✨They Inspire me for several reasons:

    1. Dedication and hard work: My role models demonstrate the importance of consistent effort and dedication to fitness.

    2. Authenticity and vulnerability: They have shared their struggles and imperfections, and not only wins but even when they fall, make me feel more relatable.

    3. Passion and enthusiasm: Their love for fitness is contagious, motivates me to prioritise health and well-being.
  • 5. Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Apart from Fitness Training I am more over an adventures person. So, Hiking & Backpacking : I love exploring things close to nature & enjoy scenic views in mountains & beaches.
    - I have my house full of Trees & Plants and I enjoy gardening.
    - Volunteering: Learn new skills and share more with community. And being an Extrovert I am people's person.
    - Social : I love interaction with people from different background to grab some more knowledge about their industry.
  • 6. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    Yes please, I would love to share one of the experience working with a client who was training for a marathon. They were struggling to overcome a plateau and were feeling frustrated.

    ✨The Turning Point
    - I decided to incorporate variety into their training program, including hill sprints and long runs with scenic routes. I also provided them with nutritional guidance and recovery strategies to help them optimise their performance.

    ✨The Breakthrough
    - The client responded well to the changes and saw significant improvements in their running times and overall endurance. They successfully completed the marathon and reported feeling confident.

    ✨So, the Lesson I learnt
    - This experience taught me the importance of periodisation and variation in training programs. It also highlighted the value of providing holistic support, including nutrition and recovery strategies, to help my client achieve their goals.

    And, I have few more but I am glad this case was new to me at beginning & major push for me as well.
