About Jennifer

I am certified to teach English as a Second Language and have more than 15 years of experience teaching language, writing, and research skills to adults.
I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Social Research, which I have used to build a portfolio of published articles and press releases.
By combining journalism with English instruction, I help students strengthen their spoken and written communication skills, whether they are learning English as a second language or are fluent English speakers seeking to refine their writing, develop their voice, and prepare their work for publication.

About the lesson

I'm a certified teacher of English as a Second Language. In addition to using the Lexical Method to teach spoken English and comprehension at all levels (total beginner-C2), I have 15 years of experience teaching writing and content production skills. I specialize in teaching business English and professional/academic writing, with a focus on improving clarity and prose structure. I teach editing and proofreading, with an emphasis on refining content and correcting errors. I teach non-fiction writing, research skills, and how to create compelling content from data. I mentor new writers seeking to break into trying to get their work published, how to compose compelling press releases, and interviewing sources for news stories and public relations.
