About Slavka

My name is Yaroslava and I am here to help you on your English journey. I absolutely love meeting new people, hearing unique stories, experiencing new things, and learning something new every day. That's a big part of why I chose teaching as my career - it gives me the chance to do all of these while supporting others. In my spare time, you can find me traveling, taking long walks, or spending time with my family, friends, or my dog. In our lessons, my goal is to create a comfortable, engaging, and personalized experience. Since I went through the process of learning English myself, I understand the challenges you might be facing and can support you in overcoming them. I believe that anyone can learn a language with the right guidance and effort, and I’m here to be that support for you on this exciting (and sometimes challenging!) path. I hold a Master’s degree in English teaching, along with a certificate from the University of Arizona that enhanced my teaching skills. However, I believe that my real expertise comes from hands-on experience with students—it’s in the lessons themselves that I’ve learned the most!

About the lesson

In my teaching, I adapt my methods to match each student’s unique needs. For example, I often use communicative approaches, as I want you to feel confident expressing your thoughts and ideas in English. I also incorporate targeted grammar techniques to build a strong foundation. To keep lessons engaging and authentic, I use a variety of resources like pictures, videos, and interactive activities. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice speaking and apply what you learn in real-world contexts.
