About Maria Isabel
Hello! I’m Jean, an experienced English and ESL teacher from the Philippines with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. I have several years of teaching experience, including two years as an ESL teacher at Parrots Kun Eikaiwa, and I currently teach at a private school.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I create friendly, engaging, and personalized lessons based on each learner’s level, goals, and interests. My classes focus on practical communication, helping students improve their speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and overall confidence in using English.
As your teacher, I am patient, supportive, and committed to your progress. I encourage students to ask questions, express their ideas, and learn from their mistakes in a comfortable environment.

My Teaching Approach
I believe that learning English should be practical, engaging, and comfortable. As a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English graduate and an experienced ESL teacher, I use a student-centered approach that focuses on helping learners communicate confidently in real-life situations.
My lessons combine conversation practice, guided questions, vocabulary building, pronunciation exercises, reading, grammar activities, and role-playing. I adjust my teaching style according to each student's age, English level, learning goals, and personality.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson usually follows this structure:
Warm-up and review – We start with a short conversation or review of the previous lesson.
Introduction of the topic – I explain the lesson using simple examples and situations.
Guided practice – The student answers questions and completes activities with my guidance.
Conversation practice – We use the new vocabulary and expressions in realistic conversations.
Correction and feedback – I gently correct mistakes and explain how to improve.
Review and homework – We summarize what was learned and identify areas to practice.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my lessons different is my patience, adaptability, and focus on practical communication. I don't simply teach students to memorize grammar rules. I encourage them to speak, ask questions, express their ideas, and use English naturally.
