About Anne
I started teaching English at St. John Paul II High School in 2015 and ESL at Tabor Academy Summer Camp in 2020. So far, I have taught Introduction to Literature, Pre-AP English 1, World Literature, American Literature, AP Seminar, AP Literature, English as a Second Language, and Creative Writing. I have been an AP Reader since 2019. I completed my B.A. in English (2015) and M.A. in English (2019) at Bridgewater State University, and I hold a Massachusetts teaching license for English, 8-12, with an SEI endorsement. My honor society memberships are Kappa Delta Pi, Sigma Tau Delta, Phi Sigma Tau, and Order of Omega.

Taking Pre-AP English, AP Seminar or AP Literature? I am trained to teach these courses!
I have developed extensive tutoring programs for AP Seminar and AP Literature students. (While I have not taught AP Language, I would be able to tutor this class as well; it is remarkably similar to AP Seminar.) If you are enrolled in these classes and need extra support, please enquire. I will provide you with practice exam materials, develop your skills in mini-lessons (often drawing on the materials that I use in my own classroom), and explain how the rubrics are applied by College Board to assess your work. In the case of AP Seminar, you can rest easy knowing that I am trained by College Board and will adhere to College Board's rules for what teachers can and can't do. This means that you will get the support you desire without having to worry about violating the academic integrity policy.
I also devise individual tutoring programs for summer reading (think of it as a private English class based on your assigned texts), SAT Critical Reading & SAT Writing, and College Application Essays. For all of my tutoring programs, you will receive a Google folder that is a repository for all of your materials. These materials are yours to keep, even after our tutoring concludes! Because of the pandemic, I am only conducting tutoring sessions online.

My first lesson is NOT for free, however, I will do a free consultation to determine your needs & abilities, develop a custom tutoring program for you, and obtain any necessary materials from you (essay drafts, etc.)
