My name is Laney, and I am an experienced elementary educator currently completing my Master’s degree in Education. My name is Laney, and my tutoring approach focuses on patience, encouragement, and clear instruction. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable and supported, so I work to create a positive environment where questions are welcome and mistakes are part of learning.
In a typical lesson, we begin by reviewing what the student is working on or finding challenging. I then break concepts into manageable steps, use examples and visuals when helpful, and guide students through practice together. Lessons are flexible and adjusted to each learner’s pace and needs.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience as an elementary educator combined with my current work as a full-time graduate student in education. I focus on building confidence, organization, and independence alongside academic skills. My lessons are designed for elementary-aged students of all learning levels and are provided online in reading, writing, math, and general homework support.
