About Melissa
I have over 10 years of teaching experience and hold multiple teaching certifications ranging from Birth to grade 12. I have been a technology coach for teachers- instructing them on how to implement technology into their lessons to increase student learning and engagement, and will utilize those tools and skills for my virtual tutoring sessions as well. All lessons will be student-centered, utilizing student interests and games, to increase engagement and learning.

I use student-centered, research-based instructional strategies to deliver instruction. Lessons will incorporate student interests for increased engagement. Each lesson will review and build off of previously taught material to ensure mastery of literacy and math skills. I am a certified teacher in early childhood and childhood (Birth-grade 6) across all subject areas, students with disabilities (Birth-grade 12), and have a master's in literacy specialization (Birth-grade 12).
