About Shaynon
Hello! My name is Shaynon, and I am an experienced English Language Arts teacher who has taught 4th, 6th, and 7th grade students. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their reading and writing skills while making learning engaging and supportive.
Working in the classroom has given me strong experience helping students who struggle with reading comprehension, writing organization, grammar, and vocabulary. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new strategies.
I am organized, patient, and committed to helping students succeed. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students develop the confidence and skills they need to become stronger readers and writers.

My lessons are designed to help students build both skills and confidence in English Language Arts. As an experienced teacher who has worked with 4th, 6th, and 7th grade students, I understand the challenges many students face with reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
Each lesson begins with identifying the student’s needs and goals. From there, I create focused activities that break skills into manageable steps so students can truly understand the material. Lessons often include guided reading, writing practice, strategy modeling, and supportive feedback.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and trying new strategies. My goal is to help students improve academically while also gaining confidence in their abilities.
