About Claire
I am currently a sophomore at Brigham Young University. I studied Spanish all 4 years of high school, receiving a 5 on the AP exam and passing the Seal of Biliteracy exam. I love to travel and have been to Puerto Rico and Guatemala and would love to go to other Spanish-speaking countries.

For me, practice is key. You can learn a lot, but to a certain extent, it can only take you so far unless you practice. Especially with languages, practice is how your brain forms connections allowing you to speak the language in real life. In addition, I believe that speaking is very important in language learning. Learning grammar and vocabulary are building blocks, but the goals of learning a language are generally to engage in conversation. A typical lesson would include a focus on whatever the student needs help with and/or conjugation practice, vocabulary games, conversation practice, grammar explanations, writing exercises or anything else needed. These lessons are for elementary to high school Spanish students.
