About Zoe
Last year I graduated from Durham with a certificate of higher education in English Literature and I am now studying Liberal Arts at the University of Nottingham and am predicted to graduate with First Class Honours. I feel that I now have a good understanding of different teaching methods and learning approaches to tutor students efficiently, from all walks of life. I love learning, especially about the arts and humanities, and have always pushed myself to do the best thatI can, ensuring that I will get everything I can out of the opportunities I have taken. I am eager to share this passion with students and feel that I am able to relate to the pressure of exams and believe that I can help ease the pressure, instilling confidence in my students, enabling them to reach their full potential.

My main aim will always be to tailor my tutoring to the individual, as I am a strong believer that one size does NOT fit all. I will do my absolute best to get to know a student's learning style quickly and thoroughly, so that I can structure sessions around their needs. Within this, I will focus on not only helping the student gain an in depth and full understanding of the subject, but also looking at exam technique and essay structure to best showcase the student's abilities.
Despite tailoring a session to the student, and preparing accordingly, my tutorials will be mostly structured around a central task or exam question, which the student and I will work on and discuss throughout the session. For example, in English Language, we might take an extract from a transcript at the beginning of the session and explore the different aspects of the text,
ending with an example essay question about the extract and using what we have learnt to answer it effectively.
