About Lee-Ann

Hello, my name is Lee-Ann. I am a dedicated tutor and currently studying Intermediate Education, which equips me with the skills to support learners effectively.

I take a learner-centered approach, focusing on understanding each student’s needs and helping them build confidence while improving their academic performance. I am fluent in both Afrikaans (my home language) and English, and I can teach in either language.

In my lessons, learners can expect clear explanations, patience, and a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. I tailor each lesson to the learner’s pace and focus on areas where they need the most support.

My lessons are ideal for school learners who want to improve their marks, build confidence, and prepare for tests and exams.

About the lesson

As a private tutor, my approach is learner-centred, supportive, and goal-driven. I believe that every learner has the ability to succeed when they are guided in a way that suits their individual needs. What makes me unique as a teacher is my focus on creating a safe, encouraging environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. I don’t just aim to help learners pass — I aim to help them truly understand their work and reach their full potential.

I am proficient in both Afrikaans and English, with Afrikaans as my home language. This allows me to effectively support learners in either language and explain concepts in a way that is clear and accessible.

In a typical lesson, I focus on the specific areas where the learner is struggling. I start by identifying gaps in understanding, then guide the learner step-by-step through the content using clear explanations, examples, and practice activities. I also encourage active participation to ensure that learners are engaged and confident in applying what they have learned. Lessons are structured but flexible, depending on the learner’s pace and needs.

My lessons are aimed at school learners of various levels, particularly those who need extra support, want to improve their marks, or are preparing for tests and exams. I also work well with learners who may feel unsure or lack confidence, helping them build both their academic skills and self-belief.
