About Anna Livia

My name is Anna Livia and I am a 29 year old woman from Dublin, Ireland.

I graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, in 2015 with a degree in Social Work and later that year completed my CELTA course in Granada, Spain. I went on to spend four years living in Spain teaching English and a further year teaching English in Dublin.

I have been working as a child protection social worker for the Irish State for the past two years and I have a passion for direct work with people of all backgrounds. Respect and rapport is at the core of my work both in teaching and in social work, as well as the importance of ongoing and open communication. It is extremely important to me that all of my students feel respected and comfortable in our classes to ensure the most optimal learning environment.

About the lesson

It is my hope that while maintaining structure and focus, that our classes can also be fun and relaxed with a particular emphasis on conversation. We can draw up an agreement for the ratio of grammar to vocab to conversation work you would like and can review our progress on an ongoing basis.

I can provide materials which I will send by email before each lesson and can set homework that is in line with the needs and availability of each of my students.

I feel it is extremely important that I do not believe in a 'one size fits all' approach to teaching and can assure you all classes will be developed with the students particular level and skills in mind to ensure each student can get the most out of each lesson.
