About Abraham
I'm Abraham — a CELTA-certified English teacher, registered dental hygienist, and native bilingual speaker of English and Spanish. I'm Mexican-American, born and raised in California, now based in Granada.
I spent 13 years in clinical healthcare in Los Angeles, communicating daily with thousands of patients from diverse backgrounds in both languages. I also trained 100+ dental professionals across the U.S. on diagnostic technology. Teaching complex information clearly is what I've done my entire career — now I do it full-time in the English classroom.
I hold a BA in Communications from Cal State Fullerton and earned my CELTA in 2026. I'm also the founder of Dental English Academy, where I teach specialized English to international dentists preparing for U.S. licensure.
When I'm not teaching, you'll find me mountain biking, playing bass guitar, or creating educational content. I bring the same energy to my lessons — direct, fun, and focused on results.

My lessons are built around you — your goals, your level, and how you actually need to use English. No cookie-cutter textbook approach.
I teach general English (A2–C1), conversation, Cambridge exam prep (B2 First, C1 Advanced), business English, and specialized English for healthcare professionals.
A typical lesson: we start with a clear objective, work through real-world materials (articles, videos, role-plays — not just grammar drills), practice in context, and wrap up with feedback and next steps. You'll spend most of the lesson speaking and using English, not sitting through grammar lectures.
What makes me different: I'm CELTA-certified, natively bilingual in English and Spanish, and I spent 13 years in U.S. healthcare explaining complex information to real people every day. Because I speak Spanish natively, I understand exactly where Spanish speakers get stuck — false friends, prepositions, verb tenses that don't exist in Spanish. That lets me anticipate your mistakes and help you fix them faster.
Available online via Zoom and in-person in Granada. First lesson is free — we'll assess your level, set goals, and build a plan together.
