About Alecia
I've always been intrigued by the natural world around me, and ever since I first started learning about biology in elementary school it's been my favourite subject. I graduated from university with a degree in Cell, Molecular, and Microbial biology and am now studying to become a Medical Laboratory Technologist. I'm especially passionate about subject such as genetics, cell biology, and biochemistry.

I believe it is important to have a specialized lesson plan for every student, as every student has different perspectives, prior knowledge, and learning styles. I think it's important to incorporate a variety of teaching styles in my tutoring (from diagrams, to short videos, to practice questions) in order to best accommodate for the variety of learning styles and preferences each student possesses and I believe that patience and compassion are a must.
