My passions include teaching history from a critical perspective, highlighting justice movements and the accounts of people whose voices are often erased from the historical record. I am also experienced in teaching Social Studies topics in remedial and college-preparation classes, tying together the essential elements of communication (essay writing, crafting a thesis statement, note taking for success) with the topics of World or US History.
