About Kristin
Finance became my focus because I wanted to understand the mathematical heartbeat behind market movements. My decision to pursue a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at MIT Sloan was driven by a need to bridge theory and application for students who feel overwhelmed by quantitative hurdles.
Over the last 3 years I have guided 266 students through the complexities of portfolio theory and the time value of money while maintaining a sharp focus on practical outcomes. By combining my academic background with a clear approach to Excel for finance and risk analysis I help learners navigate bonds and equities alongside cost of capital calculations. Seeing a student move from confusion to mastery regarding ratio analysis remains the most rewarding part of my teaching practice.
