About Vasumathy
I'm Vasumathy — and my favorite thing about Power BI is watching someone use it for the very first time and realize it isn't as scary as they thought.
I've been there. The interface looked overwhelming, the terminology made no sense, and nobody explained why things worked — just how to click them. So when I started teaching, I made a promise to myself: no student of mine would ever feel lost without knowing how to find their way back.
I spent years as a data consultant at Capgemini building and working with dashboards in real business environments. I know what good looks like — and more importantly, I know how to take someone from "I've never opened Power BI" to building their own dashboard from scratch, because I've done exactly that with my students.
I don't just teach you to use a tool. I teach you to think visually about data — and that skill stays with you no matter what software you end up using.

A good dashboard tells a story without saying a word. That's what I teach you to build.
My sessions are 100% hands-on. You won't spend an hour watching me click through slides — you'll be building something real from the very first class. We work on actual datasets so that everything you learn has an immediate, practical context.
Here's how a typical journey looks:
Session 1 — Connecting your data (Excel, CSV, SQL) and understanding the Power BI interface
Session 2 — Cleaning and shaping data using Power Query — the skill most tutorials skip
Session 3 — Building your data model and understanding relationships
Session 4 — DAX basics: calculated columns, measures, and KPIs
Session 5 — Designing your first interactive dashboard with slicers, filters, and drill-throughs
By session 5, you'll have a complete, professional dashboard you actually built yourself — not something you copied from a YouTube video.
Suitable for absolute beginners, working professionals, and anyone preparing for a BI developer or data analyst role. First session is completely free.
