About Ifan

I'm currently studying Chemistry in Cardiff and have a HUGE passion for the game! I've played competitively since I was 8 years old, and have represented Wales internationally since I was 10! I've taught myself how to climb from 1800 to 2700 online and am ready to share my knowledge with others! My peak FIDE rating is 2208 and National rating of 2294! I also run my own 4NCL team, and infrequently post videos on my YouTube channel. I hope I can make chess fun and enjoyable whilst simultaneously helping you hit your goals!

About the lesson

I'm willing to offer lessons to all levels, whether you're just starting out, or are looking to improve! First, I would start with some training games - so you can talk through your thinking process and help me highlight some weaknesses. I would tailor the lessons to suit your goals, playstyle and current ability. I have coached online for almost a year now, but have taught young juniors how to play and compete in local tournaments since 2016. The lessons are available to all, and would typically last between 1-2 hours!
