About Emile
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Cell & Molecular Biology, a Master's degree in Biotechnology, and I am concluding my doctoral work for a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics & Genomics (go dawgs!). Throughout my studies I have developed a strong proficiency in many subjects under the umbrella of biology, but especially cell biology, genetics, and plant biology.
The concepts and principles of biology and biological research did not come easily to me - throughout high school and even my first year in college, I hated science classes! As I grew to better understand biology and genetics, I realized how interesting and exciting these subjects can be. I want to help you understand and appreciate biology as well - or at least do well on your exams!

Rather than repeating the lectures you're getting in class, I want to work with you to identify exactly what isn't clicking. From there, we can review relevant foundational concepts, expand upon the concept with useful examples and metaphors, and connect new ideas to those you're more familiar with. I am very flexible and open to focusing on whatever it is you feel you need to work on, or to help you find out what that is.
