About Kara
I’m a veteran teacher with 12 years experience teaching Kindergarten and 12 years working as a reading interventionist, literacy coach, and reading specialist. I have a B.S. in Sociology and Early Childhood Education plus a master’s in Reading Education. In addition to teaching in public school settings, I also provide private virtual tutoring and enrichment for students aged 4-12 in the areas of English, ESL, reading, spelling and writing. Lastly, I'm currently halfway through my own work to become certified in dyslexia instruction.
