About Kehan
Hello! My name is Joy, and I am a native Chinese speaker from Anhui province. Growing up in China and receiving my education there from kindergarten to high school, I know exactly how we natives learn Chinese. I am skilled at discovering your unique learning style and will do my best to make your learning journey interesting! I always emphasise the importance of builiding a strong basis of fundamental skill of learning mandarin: pinyin and vocabulary. I would discover your way of learning and find materials that spark your interest in language learning, helping you fall in love with the imagery in Chinese literature. I would encourage speaking confidently in mandarin, being patient and encounraging.
A typical lesson lasts for an hour and strucutre will be discussed according to the aim of the lesson.
I have 2 years experience of mentoring undergraduate students and 1 year experience of teaching economics for Chinese high school students. I help my counsins and friends with their Chinese in my spare time, so I am very confident with it.
My lessons are for beginner to medium level mandarin learner. Children under 16 are also welcome!
