About Joe
I’m a physiotherapist by profession, but music has always been a huge part of my life. I learnt the guitar at a young age and have now been playing for 14 years, developing my skills on both acoustic and electric. Over the years, I’ve taught friends and family, and I’ve found that helping others learn brings me just as much joy as playing myself. That’s why I’ve decided to share my passion more widely — to help others discover the fun, creativity, and satisfaction that comes with learning to play guitar.

My lessons are perfect for beginners who want to start playing straight away, as well as self-taught players who’d like to build confidence, learn new techniques, or expand their repertoire. Each session typically lasts around 45 minutes to an hour, giving us plenty of time to cover new skills while keeping things fun and relaxed. I focus on practical playing rather than music theory — teaching chords, strumming patterns, riffs, and songs that you’ll actually enjoy playing. We’ll learn by doing, so you’ll leave each lesson with something new you can play at home. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace and goals, whether you want to strum along to your favourite tracks, work on fingerpicking, or explore electric guitar techniques. My aim is to make learning guitar enjoyable, approachable, and rewarding, no matter your age or experience level.
