About Ogonna

Who am I and why do I want to teach? I am a French teacher who loves to share my passion for the French language and culture with others. I have a passion and love for the French Language. I have always enjoyed teaching and learning languages, and I believe that language is not only a tool for communication, but also a way to express oneself, discover new perspectives, and connect with people from different backgrounds and walks of life. I want to teach because I want to help my students achieve their goals, whether they want to learn French for personal, professional, or academic reasons. I want to inspire them to love French as much as I do, and to enjoy the process of learning it. I want to make them feel confident and comfortable in speaking and writing French, and to appreciate the beauty and richness of the French language and culture. I believe that learning a language should be fun and enjoyable, not boring and stressful. Therefore, I try to make the lessons engaging and interactive, using a variety of materials and methods, such as games, videos, songs, stories, quizzes, and more. I also try to incorporate topics and activities that interest the students and relate to their lives and experiences. I believe that learning a language is not only about memorizing rules and words, but also about developing skills and strategies to communicate effectively and confidently. Therefore, I try to balance the four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and to focus on the communicative aspects of the language, such as pronunciation, intonation, and fluency. I also try to expose the students to authentic and diverse sources of the language, such as native speakers, media, and literature. I offer customized lesson plans for each student, based on their level, goals, and interests.

About the lesson

Why choose me as your French tutor? I graduated with a second class upper division from the University of Benin, BA French. I have an international certification 'DELF B2' showing my proficiency in the French Language. I have over five years teaching experience, three of which are from teaching French to students of different levels, ages, and backgrounds. I use a variety of materials and methods to make the lessons engaging, interactive, and fun. I adapt the lessons to your needs, interests, and goals, whether you want to focus on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or conversation skills. I provide regular feedback, corrections, and tips to help you improve your French and gain confidence in speaking it.
