About Sami
I am a Cambridge student with over 100 hours of experience tutoring. Throughout my tutoring career I have had a particular focus on preparing students for entry to top London grammars and privates.
SUBJECTS
I tutor in the notoriously difficult AQA A level Philosophy. As a Cambridge student in the subject I am well placed to help with exam technique and subject content. I also offer tuition in Politics and Art History at A level. References are available upon request.
GRADES
I attained A*A*A*A at A level, and (concealed information) at GCSE. In my Philosophy A level I performed exceptionally attaining one of the highest marks nationally, scoring 90 percent on the notoriously difficult Epistemology and Moral Philosophy paper. Certificates are available upon request.

Each session is completely tailored to each student's needs. A typical session lasts one or two hours and will begin with an active recall task of old content. This is proven to improve ability to recall information come the exam which a ‘spoonfeeding’ approach simply cannot replicate. We will then cover content from the ground up, so students question why each thing they learn is the way it is. The goal of this is to foster a deeper kind of understanding that truly reflects in the exam paper.
Throughout students are encouraged to ask questions and take advantage of the one-to-one forum which they do not have access to in school time. I do not set extended written tasks or timed papers during the sessions (which would be a waste of time!)—however I have always recommended that students complete an optional extended task between sessions.
Depending on the student’s needs I am happy to take regular short breaks in sessions within reason, and will add this lost time to the end.

Sami was very patient with my daughter (she has a very short attention span and needed a tutor that would adapt). He was able to explain all the difficult concepts she didn't get, and she went up by two GCSE maths grades
