About Monique
Having started teaching and tutoring in my second year of university, I worked my way through as many mathematical degrees as I could. I ended up as a supervisor during my time as a PhD student at Cambridge, where I was also part of the interview committee for my college. I currently have 4 years' experience as a teacher on the international circuit, where I have taught IGCSE, A-level and IB (all courses both old and new at higher and standard level). My tutoring style can be tailored to suit many different kinds of students, both those who want to be stretched further and those who struggle with the course material. I pride myself on patience, clarity and the ability to instil confidence in students, as well as the ability to get results. Being an A-level examiner means I have a very good grasp of what is required in terms of achieving high grades. Out of my last IB higher level class, half the students earned a level 7 grade. I look forward to helping you reach your full mathematical potential too! I met Monique in high school and have known her for 20 years. In that time I have seen her grow from a classmate helping others with their work to a respected and experienced teacher. We shared a house while she was completing her PhD at Cambridge University, and been friends since as she has taught in London, South Korea and Tunisia. I would be thrilled to have her tutor my kids, but as neither has started school it might be a little early!
I had the pleasure of working with Monique while she was teaching maths at North London Collegiate School. She was a brilliant teacher, and her pupils learnt a great deal from her in the subject and loved her lessons.
