About Fran
I'm a fifth year Cambridge Medical student with extensive tutoring experience in GCSE and A-level Biology, university admissions, and undergraduate supervisions. My teaching style is relaxed but achieves results - my pupils consistently perform well in exams, and every student I have tutored through university admissions has received an offer from their first or second choice. I like to help my students think through problems themselves so that they learn the transferable skills needed to improve their confidence and their performance. I am a 5th year Cambridge Medical student with over 6 years of experience tutoring students from GCSE to undergraduate level. During my extensive experience as a tutor I have devised mark schemes for the British Biology Olympiad. As a sixth form student I earned a Gold award in both year 12 and year 13 in this competition. I found it was a great feature for my personal statement, and it remains an impressive achievement to discuss at university interviews, especially if applying to Oxbridge, or for Medicine. Practising with past papers is the best way to prepare for the real thing, but the official website does not offer any mark schemes. I can send you the mark schemes I have developed for all 5 past papers on the official website (2019-23) for £20, as listed. I would be happy to also conduct a tutorial to talk through explanations for any answers the student did not understand, charging my usual rate of £30/hour.

Perfect! Fran is an amazing tutor; she is preparing our daughter for her GCSES. Her lessons are organised, well prepared and engaging.
