About Thabi
I’m Thabi, an 18 year old South African Cambridge student. I was elected a prefect/student monitor in my first year of high school and when i switched school the following year, i was elected Captain of the Debate team until i completed my Cambridge IGCSE’s. I started tutoring with my cousins and seeing them enjoy the process of learning, which is usually an annoyance, made me realise how changing students’ perspective on school and learning can do so much for their results. It isn’t a bore at all if you're really interested in what you’re doing. Children absorb more when their minds are stimulated, which is rarely the case when it comes to our daily classes, so I’ve found creative routes around it, and the results have been excellent, particularly in English. I love tutoring because, as a student myself, I know how much better school is when it’s less of a difficulty and more of an exciting challenge you know you can overcome!
