About Sumei

I am a recent graduate from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, where I studied Modern and Medieval Languages (French and Spanish). In 2019 I completed my A levels in Latin, French, and Spanish, and passed all three with A*s. I gained 9 A*s (in French, Spanish, Latin, Greek, Maths, Music, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics) and 3 As (in English Language, English Literature, and Further Maths) at GCSE. I started tutoring in 2018, with all my students improving by at least one grade. I spent my gap year working as a teaching assistant for Latin, French and music in a prep school in London.

About the lesson

Our lessons will be based around your specific needs, and will always be fun! If you are a beginner, we will focus mostly on vocabulary and grammar. If you are working towards a particular qualification (11+, 13+, Common Entrance, GCSE, AS/A Level etc.), classes will be tailored towards the specifications for these. I can also include classes on Roman history for general interest. If needed, I can set extra work to do outside of classes, and will be available for marking in between lesson times. I also offer personal statement help and guidance, as well as Oxbridge interview practice. Please feel free to message me with your particular needs. I offer online tutoring, and am available in the evenings and at weekends. I am able to tutor via Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, and WhatsApp.

Details

I charge £30/h, or £20/half hour. If you would like a custom time, I am willing to discuss prices. I offer a free 30 minute discussion and lesson - this is so that we can get to know each other and establish exactly what it is you want help with. If you choose to book a set of lessons in advance, 5h will cost £140, and 10h will cost £270.
