About Satish
Thanks to my studies in Mathematics at Cambridge University (where I was awarded the MMath, MA and BA degrees) I gained a thorough knowledge and understanding in various areas of the subject.
I subsequently took on the challenge of Part III of the Tripos (generally acknowledged to be the hardest taught mathematics course in the world) specialising in pure mathematics, and went on to carry out research in number theory.
I also have many years of finance experience firstly with a top 4 accountancy firm (where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser) and subsequently with investment banks in Product Control, Model Risk Management and Front Office Risk & Control. I obtained the Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) qualification with distinction and was awarded the Wilmott Award for Excellence.

I am an experienced and friendly maths tutor with a proven track record of helping students reach their potential. I have tutored a wide range of requirements including GCSE, A-level and IB, Oxbridge admissions, UKMT challenges and olympiads, STEP and MAT. Typical lesson length is one hour.
I was also a mathematics consultant for a leading international educational consultancy in London where I advised students on all aspects of higher education including UCAS application and interview preparation. Additionally, I was an A-level examiner when I was teaching mathematics at a leading Cambridge Sixth Form College, and currently volunteer for the UKMT as a mentor, problem setter and marker.
I have a strong interest in the learning process and in analysing why and how mathematical concepts can present difficulties. In particular, I have acquired strategies to explain abstract mathematical ideas in comprehensible terms.
