About Debbie
I’m a native British English speaker with a clear UK accent and extensive experience working with international colleagues, clients and senior leaders.
Much of my career has involved helping people communicate clearly, build relationships and work effectively across different cultures and professional backgrounds. I particularly enjoy meeting people from different countries and helping them become more confident communicating in English.
I have held senior leadership roles in healthcare, technology and higher education, following an earlier career in science and R&D.
I hold an MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, an Executive Coaching qualification, an ILM Level 7 qualification in Leadership and Management, and a Certificate of Business Excellence from Cambridge Judge Business School.
I’m friendly, patient and genuinely interested in people. My aim is to make every lesson engaging, useful and fun.

My lessons are relaxed, practical and conversational, designed to help you speak English confidently and naturally in professional or social settings.
We can focus on everyday conversation, topics that interest you, or professional situations such as meetings, presentations, interviews, networking and workplace conversations.
We will spend most of the session speaking English, using conversation to develop fluency, vocabulary and natural British English. I’ll give you constructive feedback on pronunciation, phrasing and recurring mistakes, while keeping the conversation enjoyable.
I particularly enjoy working with intermediate and advanced adult learners who have a reasonable level of English but want to become more fluent and natural when speaking. The sessions are particularly suited to professionals who use English at work and want to communicate more effectively with colleagues, clients and international teams.
My approach draws on extensive experience of executive coaching, mentoring and communicating with international colleagues, clients and senior leaders across science, healthcare, technology, education and business.
