About Sam
Having achieved the highest results from the University of Cambridge at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, I have an excellent academic record, a very broad range of knowledge and a critical mind honed by years of study. This enthusiasm for learning and achieving the best also extends to my students' work - I enjoy seeing others flourish, and helping them to identify and overcome any obstacles holding them back. In order to do this, I aim to create a relaxed yet focused teaching atmosphere to get the best out of students, which is jointly fostered by my friendly, approachable personality and depth of experience.

In sessions typically an hour in length, I focus on the student's particular needs, building up their strengths as well as identifying areas of improvement. Lessons aim to hit the balance between chatty informality and rigorous attention to detail, and students are encouraged to bring in their own interests as I believe enjoyment of and familiarity with a topic are conducive to the best outcomes! Very happy to assist with literary analysis, whether poetry or prose, creative writing and general English speaking/writing ability.
50+ hours experience tutoring from ages 10 to A Level ability.
