About Zahra
I’m Zahra, a Cambridge Engineering student with A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics at A-Level.
I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience, including working as a maths tutor for Axiom Maths, teaching groups through Maths Extra, and providing private 1:1 tutoring. I’ve planned and delivered my own lessons, taught both curriculum and extension material, and worked with students across different ages and abilities.
I genuinely enjoy teaching and find it incredibly rewarding to watch students grow in confidence and ability over time. I particularly enjoy seeing students go from being hesitant to ask questions or tackle difficult problems to becoming more independent and confident in their own thinking.

My 1:1 lessons are tailored to each student’s individual strengths, weaknesses and goals. I focus on developing genuine understanding rather than memorising methods, encouraging students to explain their reasoning and build strong problem-solving skills.
Lessons can focus on strengthening difficult topics, exam preparation, extending beyond the curriculum or building confidence. I aim to create a supportive environment where students become increasingly independent and comfortable asking questions.
For sixth-form students, I can also provide wider support throughout their university journey, including personal statement review sessions and mock interviews for existing students. A discounted trial lesson is available.
