About Martina
I am an outgoing, friendly and patient teacher who enjoys helping students build confidence in Mathematics. I believe that creating a relaxed and positive learning environment is important, as students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
Outside of teaching, I have a keen interest in sport and enjoy watching football, rugby and tennis. I also enjoy travelling, going to the gym, playing padel and attending live music events.
I bring the same enthusiasm and positive attitude to my lessons, while maintaining a professional and focused approach. My aim is to make Mathematics enjoyable, accessible and less intimidating, while helping each student reach their full potential.

I am an experienced Maths teacher with over 13 years of experience teaching Cambridge and Edexcel Mathematics, from IGCSE through A-Level and Further Mathematics.
My approach is centred on understanding rather than memorising. I first identify each student's current level, strengths and areas where they are struggling, and then tailor each lesson to their individual needs. I explain concepts clearly and break difficult topics into manageable steps, using worked examples and targeted questions to build confidence and understanding.
For exam students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, problem-solving and past-paper practice. We work through questions together, identify common mistakes, and develop effective strategies for approaching unfamiliar or challenging questions. My aim is to help students become confident, independent mathematicians who understand how to apply what they have learnt.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are conducted online using an interactive digital whiteboard, allowing us to work through examples and questions together in real time.
I teach students from approximately 14 years old onwards, including Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE, A-Level and Further Mathematics students. I work with students of different abilities, from those who need additional support with challenging topics to students aiming for the highest grades.
With 13 years of teaching experience, I have a strong understanding of the requirements of these examination systems and can provide focused support for both learning and exam preparation.
