About Adarsh
I am a current First Class Economics student at the University of Cambridge, having ranked in the top 10% of students in my first year.
In my A-Levels I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics, and in my GCSEs I received 11 9s in all my subjects, including Maths.
I have experience working with students - at school I was part of the Elite Maths club, which prepared younger years for the challenging UKMT Maths competitions. I myself participated in these and was awarded a Gold award each year.
Having previously volunteered at a local primary school, I am also used to working with and helping students younger than me. In that regard, I also have a 11-year-old sister who enjoys learning Maths as much as I enjoy teaching it!

Through my past experience, I know that it is incredibly useful to break down a hard task into smaller sections. Approaching learning content in this way allows you to identify areas that can be improved and ensures that they receive the attention they need.
For this reason, in my lessons I try to target sub-topics of the subject I am teaching, whether that be through example questions, a revision of a textbook chapter or simply a discussion of the concepts the student may be struggling with. Identifying the areas of content a student needs to dedicate attention to is an important part of tutoring. The main aim is to build up my students' ability and confidence to the point where they feel ready for their upcoming exams.
Importantly, still being a student myself I fully understand what it is like to be preparing for exams. As a result, I am patient and supportive.
