About Shane
My name is Shane and I am from Monaghan, a small town in Ireland. I am a Cambridge-qualified (CELTA) teacher with almost 10 years of experience teaching adults in 4 different countries and online, including in Ireland. I also have a degree in International Relations from Dublin City University. I do my best to have a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the class, as I believe this helps people to learn more easily and stay motivated in the long term :)

I combine the typical structure of a traditional English lesson with additional focus on making it interesting and enjoyable for you. If you are interested in any topic and would like to learn English by discussing it, I will design lessons to help you do that. That way you can learn and improve your English while staying motivated.
My 10 years of experience, in addition to my Cambridge (CELTA) qualification have shown me that my approach will help you to stay motivated in terms of interest and a feeling of progress :)
A lesson is 50 minutes, and there is the option of homework. I will check your homework and give you feedback. I work with anyone with an English level from A2 level to C2 level.
My lessons are for anyone who is interested in improving any of their English skills, whether speaking, reading, listening or writing. I guarantee it will be enjoyable and fun too :)
