About Ruiyang
I have a BA in Natural Sciences (specialising in Biochemistry) from the University of Cambridge, and am currently pursuing a Masters in Systems Biology, also at the University of Cambridge. I have previously worked as a Bioinformatician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School. This provides me with extensive specialist knowledge and allows me to tailor the content of my lessons to the student regarless of level.
Additionally, I have prior tutoring experience, having worked as a volunteer tutor with the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Taking inspiration from the unique supervision system at Oxford and Cambridge universities, my tutoring style combines personalised instruction on the subject matter and syllabus-specific advice on exam techniques, as well as using bringing in supercurricular ideas from my extensive knowledge of molecular and cellular biology to provide context to the student and help them grasp and retain difficult concepts.
