About Tanbeer

Hi there! I'm Tanbeer. I am currently in my second year at the University of Cambridge studying Natural Sciences. I studied A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry at a highly academic sixth form, and achieved 3A*s scoring above 90% in each paper. In my GCSEs, I was awarded seven 9 (A*) grades, breaking my school's record for the highest grade point average in their history. I started tutoring almost immediately after my GCSEs ended, after a lot of pushing from my friends who I'd helped during our GCSE time. The main reason I tutor is because I want to pass on the help I received from my teachers who helped me realise my potential. I've taught a lot of students who've come to me and said that they would never have realised that they would ever enjoy learning about different topics if it weren't for the way that it was explained to them by me. I believe that people can benefit from my unique perspective of the topics that we learn, and I'm more than happy to spend a lot of time with them to help them understand everything in as much detail as they need to. I try to be as relatable as possible with my students, I share my own experiences when I was studying the exact same topics that they are, which I'm sure will be very similar, and offer advice with certain topics that helped myself and a lot of other students. If you're considering taking a lesson with me, I want you to know that I've been where you are before, and felt the same emotions that you've felt. Whether you're struggling with understanding a lot of topics, or you just feel the need to brush up on certain topics, we will go through exactly what you feel your needs are, and I will do my best to help you with whatever you've requested. When it comes to learning, nothing should feel unimportant, and I'm here to help you learn, but also *enjoy* learning.

About the lesson

I can promise you that: - I deliver all my lessons with materials that are specifically tailored to the specification, ensuring you learn the fundamentals of what you need to know for your exams. - My teaching style is very interactive, there is less of me putting you on the spot and asking you questions and more of us having a discussion about what we are learning. Learning isn't a chore, not something you just "have" to do, but it's something that I want to help make fun for everyone, and I can guarantee that you will leave my lessons with less cognitive load, but more of an interest in the topics you are studying. - I will provide free resources to supplement your learning, the ones I would personally use, to try and take the slightly tedious aspects such as memorisation and analysis, and make them more intuitive for you, as well as provide my own tips and tricks that I used throughout my exams that will help you navigate your own way through them. - No problem is too small to discuss with me! We will work through any gripes you have with your learning, and I will explain any ideas that you need help understanding. Remember that these exams are made to test your understanding, and that is what I will focus on more than anything in my lessons. My lessons are flexible, can be anywhere between 45 and 90 minutes, we will always make the most of the time we have. They are catered towards anyone studying for their KS3/GCSE Maths and Science exams, and for A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry students.
