Hello! I’ve been teaching for over 40 years—yes, I’m pretty old, but still young in spirit and full of enthusiasm. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of helping students from 1st grade all the way to graduate school. My background is in technical subjects like CAD, computers, robotics, and electronics.
I offer tutoring in several AutoDesk products, including AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Fusion and Rhino. I’ve recently added progeCAD to my software collection—an exciting and affordable alternative to AutoDesk tools. My approach is hands-on and engaging, using real-world examples and simulations to bring concepts to life. I’m an old “shop” teacher at heart, and I believe: “Everything is best learned by planning, creating, and improving.”

Alan Zube was one of the best teachers I had in high school. He made learning AutoCAD both interesting and practical. His deep knowledge and hands-on teaching style helped me build skills that I still use today. Thanks to what I learned in his class, I was able to land a job with a reputable architecture firm right after graduation.
Alan is patient, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what he teaches. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn CAD or expand their understanding of design, engineering and architecture.Mr. Zube is very competent in all the subjects he teaches and is often sought out and recognized for staying on the forefront of the technologies as well as his teaching acumen. Despite his natural comfort with his subjects, he does an excellent job teaching to students of all levels and finding ways to connect with the students and finding their best method of learning. I was most impressed by his patience with beginners in subjects very unfamiliar to them and helping them to find their confidence.
It is a pleasure to recommend Alan for his outstanding dedication and excellence in teaching. With a long and distinguished career that spans several states and both high school and community college settings, Alan has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to student learning and success. His extensive experience teaching a wide range of STEM courses—including Robotics, AutoCAD, and related technical subjects—reflects not only his expertise but also his versatility as an educator who can effectively connect theory with hands-on application.
Throughout his teaching career, Alan has shown a remarkable ability to inspire curiosity and confidence in his students. His lessons are structured, engaging, and aligned with real-world industry standards, which prepare students for both academic and professional advancement. Beyond technical instruction, he emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving—skills that are vital for success in today’s STEM fields.Alan and I were colleagues in the Engineering Technology Department, where I had the opportunity to observe his teaching, collaborate on departmental initiatives, and witness firsthand the impact he had on his students and peers.
Alan is an experienced and versatile professor whose teaching portfolio included AutoCAD, drafting, Inventor, AC/DC Electronics, Robotics, and Hydraulics & Pneumatics. His breadth of knowledge across multiple technical disciplines is impressive, but what truly sets him apart is his student-centered teaching style. Alan combines clear, structured instruction with hands-on learning and real-world applications, making complex technical content accessible and engaging for students of all backgrounds.
He has a calm, approachable demeanor and a genuine passion for teaching that resonates in every class. Whether working with traditional college students or adult learners returning to the classroom, Alan consistently fosters an inclusive, supportive environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and practical skill development.
I wholeheartedly recommend Alan to the other SuperProf members and any institution or program seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and effective educator. His strong technical expertise, combined with his professionalism and collaborative spirit, make him a valuable asset to any academic or training environment.
