Mel is a respected tutor in our community. He is highly recommended for his commitment and the quality of his lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Mel
The first lesson I gave was on a harmonica in 1967.
I've taught since then, especially from the 1990s on.
Over the years, I've learned to play many instruments.
Along with that, I've written dozens of supplemental exercise guides to assist myself and students in learning the details of playing their instrument.
I enjoy the variety of students that I have worked with and look forward to many new ones.

My lessons typically consist of work on a method book, a technique book and a songbook.
Lessons are always positive and supportive, aimed at acquiring new playing or comprehension skills and at reinforcing previously learned skills.
I've taught for decades as a private instructor and still relish helping budding musicians.

Mel is a wonderful music instructor! He is patient, kind, and always willing to go above and beyond for his students! My son has been taking violin lessons with him for a few years! He started in person and is now FaceTiming! My son is enjoying it and continues to learn more and more! I appreciate his willingness to also move schedules around when needed!
