About Taku

I am a Business Development and Sales professional with a passion for helping people grow in confidence, develop practical skills, and achieve personal and professional progress. I hold a BSc in Biochemistry, as well as diplomas in AAT Level 3 and the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).

Throughout my career, I have worked in sales, accounting software, ecommerce, and SaaS technology, where strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills have been essential. Over time, I realised that one of the things I enjoy most is helping others understand subjects that they previously found difficult or intimidating.

I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing people build confidence and develop skills that can improve their opportunities and everyday lives. Whether it is bookkeeping, accounting basics, communication skills, or presentation coaching, my goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I believe learning should be practical, encouraging, and easy to understand, and I take pride in making complex topics feel much more accessible and approachable.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centred around simplicity, patience, and practical understanding. I believe people learn best when complex subjects are broken down into clear, relatable concepts that can be applied in real-life situations. My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and tailored to the individual needs and confidence levels of each student.

I use a practical teaching methodology that combines explanation, discussion, repetition, and real-world examples. Whether teaching bookkeeping basics or communication and presentation skills, I focus on building confidence step by step. Lessons are interactive rather than lecture-based, encouraging students to ask questions and actively participate throughout the session.

Typical lessons last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the subject area and the student’s preference. Sessions can be structured around specific goals, exam preparation, workplace development, or general confidence building.

I hold a BSc in Biochemistry, diplomas in AAT Level 3 and the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS). Alongside my teaching background, I have professional experience in Business Development and SaaS sales, including selling accounting software, ecommerce, and data solutions. This commercial experience allows me to combine theory with practical business insight.

My lessons are ideal for beginners, adult learners, sales professionals, small business owners, and individuals looking to improve bookkeeping knowledge, accounting fundamentals, communication skills, or presentation confidence. I particularly enjoy helping people who may lack confidence or feel overwhelmed by technical subjects, making learning approachable and easy to understand.
