About Tasya
Hello! My name is Tasya Washington, and I am a BSN-prepared nurse with previous experience as a math tutor. I specialize in Algebra, Calculus, and college preparation, helping students build the skills and confidence needed to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
I believe that every student can excel in math when concepts are explained clearly and tailored to their individual learning style. My lessons focus on developing a strong understanding of foundational concepts, improving problem-solving abilities, and applying effective strategies that students can use independently. I guide students through examples step-by-step, encourage questions, and provide personalized practice to reinforce learning.
My background in nursing has strengthened my communication, patience, and ability to explain complex information in an easy-to-understand way. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, or strengthen your readiness for college-level coursework, I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where you can reach your academic goals.

Hi, I'm Tasya Washington, a BSN-prepared nurse with previous experience as a math tutor specializing in Algebra, Calculus, and college preparation. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation of understanding rather than memorization, helping students develop confidence and effective problem-solving skills.
During lessons, I assess each student's strengths and challenges, explain concepts step-by-step, and work through guided examples before transitioning to independent practice. I tailor my teaching style to each learner's needs, whether they are preparing for exams, improving classroom performance, or strengthening fundamental skills.
What sets me apart is my patient, supportive approach and ability to break down complex topics into manageable concepts. My lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, and college students seeking support in mathematics, test preparation, and academic success.
