About Mia

I am passionate about both sociology and education, and becoming a tutor allows me to combine these two interests in a meaningful way. I want to be a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand complex ideas, especially in a subject as relevant and thought-provoking as sociology. Tutoring offers a unique opportunity to support students' academic growth by creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately gaining confidence in their abilities. I believe that learning should be collaborative, and as a tutor, I aim to encourage critical thinking, active engagement, and a deeper appreciation for how sociology connects to the world around us. Additionally, I find great satisfaction in seeing others succeed and knowing that I’ve contributed to that success. Tutoring is not just about teaching—it’s about listening, adapting, and being a reliable source of support. I want to be a tutor because I value education as a tool for empowerment, and I am eager to help others reach their academic and personal goals.

About the lesson

My lessons will be clear, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I’ll simplify complex concepts using real-world examples, encourage critical thinking, and create a supportive space where students feel confident engaging with sociological ideas and asking questions. All lessons would take a friendly approach.
