About Loretta
I am someone who is very passionate about helping students improve their experience in education. School can be very overwhelming, students may not get the attention, and more importantly, actual support with their learning and that is what my tutor prioritses. I am also ready and happy to change and tweak my sessions to whatever needs my students have. Whether you work better visually, need more interactive learning, or want to encorporate movement or games into the sessions, accomodating individual learning style is something I take pride in. Every child is different and deserve to have their educational needs met.

I take a "confidence is everything" approach to tutoring. Confidence in learning is one fo the most important components of success so it is truly my priority with every student I work with. Before diving into any session, I will assess what the levelof understanding is of the topic. Once established, we start with some basic examples using the 'i do, we do, you do' frame and offer students the opportunity to work through them together and individually and any ask questions. At the end of every session, I will assess understanding again and ask if there are suggestions of specific topics they want covered as well as see if they have any out standing work I can plan to work through in the next session. I do not move on until all students are confident in their knowledge so no one is ever left behind!
