About Alessia
I am a BSc Psychology student, who has experience mentoring and tutoring students studying at different levels. As someone who went from failing Psychology A-Level to securing an A*, I understand the dedication, resilience, and discipline it takes to improve academically.
This experience allows me to genuinely relate to students who may lack confidence or feel overwhelmed, because I know first-hand that with the right support and learning approach, progress is possible. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.
Alongside my academic studies, I have experience mentoring young people and working in fast-paced, people-focused roles, which has strengthened my communication, patience, and adaptability. I tailor my teaching style to each student’s individual needs, whether that means breaking down complex topics into simple explanations, helping with exam technique, or building revision strategies that actually work.
Above all, I want students to leave sessions not only understanding the content better, but also feeling more confident in themselves and their potential.

I’m a bubbly and friendly person who wants to see you shine!
My approach is person-centred, tailored and simple. My sessions are structured around gaps you need filling, and strengths you want to harness.
Psychology is not an easy A-Level; add Research Methods into the mix and it can seem impossible. Whether it’s essay writing, research methods, running out of time, or not understanding the content, I have got you covered!
We will start the first lesson off with a quick conversation about where you are at, and where you want to be followed by a quiz so we can pinpoint exactly what we need to work on! After that, we keep aiming high; I will also provide homework (nothing impossible don’t worry) so we can keep the brain working.
I am happy for my students to contact me out of tuition hours if they need help with a question or two.
