About Jake
Hi, I’m Jake, I’ve been teaching mathematics since graduating in 2017. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of educational settings, giving me the experience and adaptability to support students of all backgrounds and abilities.
I specialise in working with students with anxiety, ADHD and Autism, having spent over six years teaching in a therapeutic boarding school. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how to build trust, reduce barriers to learning and help students develop genuine confidence in maths.
For the past two years, I have been teaching at a prestigious independent school in the Midlands, working with some of the most able young mathematicians. Supporting both high-achieving students and those who need additional structure has allowed me to develop a flexible, personalised approach to tutoring.
Above all, I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable, capable and empowered to succeed. Whether your child needs to rebuild confidence or strive for top grades, I am here to help them achieve their full potential.

I am an experienced and decorated mathematician with a passion for helping students succeed in maths. I specialise in supporting young people with SEMH and SEND needs, but I work confidently with students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
My approach is calm, patient and personalised. I understand that confidence is often the key to success in mathematics, so I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable, understood and capable. I adapt my teaching to suit each learner’s needs, ensuring progress is steady and meaningful.
