I am an experienced English Language and Literature tutor with a proven track record of helping GCSE and A-Level students improve their confidence and achieve strong results.

Based on my previous tutoring experience in English Literature and English Language, I would create tailored PowerPoint presentations for each tutoring session. They would be carefully structured around the student's individual strengths and areas for improvement.
Each lesson would begin with a recall section to review previously covered content, helping to reinforce long-term memory and strengthen understanding of past topics. Then followed by a short vocabulary quiz to build and retain key terminology.
I would then introduce the focus of the lesson, encouraging active engagement by asking the student questions related to the topic to promote deeper cognitive thinking and assess their understanding throughout the session.
Once the topic has been fully explained and understood we would work through guided examples before moving on to exam-style and mock questions. These would be marked during the lesson with live constructive feedback so the student can clearly understand how to improve.
At the end of each session, I would check that the student feels confident with what they have learnt and would set targeted homework based on that lesson to consolidate their understanding and prepare them for future sessions.
