About Nicholas
Hi! I'm Nicholas! I am an incoming freshman at Brown University and I'm planning on majoring in English. I love writing and am hoping to become a journalist or sportswriter. Outside of the classroom, I love playing soccer, practicing piano, reading, and watching sports! During high school, I tutored in National Honor Society, volunteered at a reading camp for elementary-aged students, and worked as a counselor for youth soccer clinics. I am an experienced writer, having worked as a writer and editor for a marketing company during high school, and I would be able to give detailed feedback on any kind of essay. I got a 1600 on the SAT as well as an 800 on each of the Literature, Math II, and U.S. History SAT Subject Tests. I had a 4.0 in high school and I also passed several AP tests, namely, AP World History (5), AP Psychology (5), AP Computer Science (4), AP English Language (5), AP Calc AB (5), AP U.S. History (5), AP Statistics (5), AP Microeconomics (5), AP Macroeconomics (5), and AP Calc BC (5).

Throughout my life, I have benefitted from amazing instructors in academics, as well as in music and sports, and I love having the opportunity to make a similarly positive effect on others through tutoring! I try to encourage open dialogue in my tutoring sessions and I strongly believe in the importance of students feeling as comfortable as possible so that they are not afraid of making a mistake or asking a basic question.
