About Ryan
Hello! My name is Ryan, and I am a Brown alumnus currently working as a neurology researcher in Boston. I've always wanted to share my passion for advanced mathematics and science with young students at the high school and college level. Throughout my life, I've had the privilege of learning from and working with incredible mentors both in school and in the workplace. My hope is to instill young students with the confidence required to master complex topics in both mathematics and science.

My approach to tutoring depends on the subject at hand, but I enjoy implementing scaffolding techniques to break down complex problems into smaller, digestible tasks. I also take care to personalize teaching by using diagnostic assessments and encouraging students to analyze the root of their mistakes.
Typical lesson plan revolves around investigating topics and technical questions about the course material giving you trouble. We'll begin by determining your problem areas and working through explanations and examples of important concepts. I'll then help you work through your own examples, with each one incorporating related concepts that will likely come up on your exams. Depending on the subject, I'll craft an individualized plan to help address your concerns as needed.
